Get dressed, and get on with it.

Made-to-measure suits, jackets and shirts. Northern New Jersey, at your home or your office.

CONSTRUCTION

A jacket you forget you have on. Full canvas underneath, handwork where it matters, built soft so it moves with you.

FIT

No more hoping it comes out right. Before your cloth is touched, I make a draft garment and fit it on you. It tells me what a tape measure cannot, and what it teaches me stays with your pattern for your next garments.

PROCESS

Nothing for you to organize. I come to you, at home or at the office, anywhere in Northern New Jersey. After the first appointment there are three, at most, none longer than half an hour.

AFTER

It keeps fitting. Alterations are included for as long as the garment is yours. Bodies change, cloth settles, and when it does, I put it right.

Recent work

Client wearing a light grey made to measure two piece suit.

A light grey two-piece, for a normal week.

Trevon founded a media company, so most of his week is spent in front of clients. He wanted a suit he could put on without thinking, wear into any of those meetings, and wear again on stage at his own conference. Light grey, cut to for comfort.

“Gus understood and captured my vision for my suit. I am beyond happy with it and will certainly be back.”
— Trevon Gross Jr.

Client wearing a made to measure dress shirt, trousers and light grey cashmere overvcoat

A cashmere topcoat, and what goes under it

Dave is an investor and consultant in hospitality, which means his week runs from a boardroom to a dining room and back. The overcoat is pure cashmere. Under it, trousers in a cotton wool blend so they read a little easier than a suit trouser, and a shirt cut to go with both.

“WOW I was absolutely blown away at the quality and the incredible fit. Gus really nailed everything... will return for more.”
— Dave Carson

Client wearing a made to measure navy two piece suit

A navy suit, one of eight

Cesar runs growth at ad-tech company. He came to me for one suit and has been back seven times since. This is the navy, cut for a normal week rather than an occasion.

“Gus has an uncanny ability to take a client’s vision and bring it to life.”
— Cesar Olivier

My name is Gus Pagès. I have been designing made-to-measure clothing since 2018.

Getting dressed should be simple. Wake up, take something out of the closet, put it on, get on with your day. All that requires is a wardrobe built for your body, your taste, and the way you actually spend your week.

I work alone. I come to you, I make a small number of things, and I pay attention to all of them.

What it is like

We meet, wherever suits you

01

An hour or so at your home or office. We go through what you own, what you wear, and what is missing. I ask about your work, your week, and the places you want to feel more confident and comfortable than you currently do. Then cloth, details, measurements, and a date for the next fitting.

A draft, before your cloth

02

Three and a half weeks later I bring a test garment, made in cheap cloth, and fit it on you. This is where I see how you actually stand and move, and where your posture and proportions get written into your pattern. Nothing goes into your cloth until that is settled.

Your garment

03

Most clients take it home at this fitting. You put it on, I look at it, and if it is right it leaves with you that day. If I want one more pass at something, we book a second fitting, which is the difference between eight weeks and ten.

After

04

Alterations are on me for as long as you own the garment, excluding work needed after a significant change in body weight. Clothing shifts as you do, and a suit you bought three years ago should still sit the way it did the week you got it. Send me a photograph and I will tell you whether it is a five-minute fix or something that will require a deeper look.

Eight to ten weeks for a client’s first commission. Five to six after that, because much of the work is already done.

Two-piece suits start at $2000 and our dress shirts open at $275.

The morning of, you already know what you’re wearing.

That is what a wardrobe built for you actually buys. Not a suit you are pleased with, but the end of standing in front of a closet before something that matters, hoping something in there works.
